The Holistic Tooth Fairy

The Holistic Tooth Fairy

In my work as a Tapping practitioner, I often use metaphysics. The body is a metaphor – a physical manifestation of our thoughts, our emotions, our beliefs. We CAN heal ourselves, but we must be willing and able to override our old thinking and see ourselves as whole and healthy – even in the midst of a health crisis or injury. That’s not always easy to do! And we need to learn to LISTEN to our body, rather than chastising it or hating it!

I have understood the basics of metaphysics since I was a young girl. When I was a kid, I used to make myself sick so I wouldn’t have to go to school – usually on the day of a test. I didn’t just fake it, I literally made myself have a sore throat or stomach pains. My mom used to tell me to go take a walk on the beach, that I’d probably feel better. She was right.

I remember the day I decided that if I could make myself sick, I could make myself well. From that day on, I’ve had only a few medical issues. When those issues come up, I know they are a manifestation of something I’ve been thinking, believing, feeling. They are a gift.

During the lockdown, one of my clients was having dental issues. As I researched the metaphysics of teeth and dental problems, I came across The Holistic Tooth Fairy from New Zealand. Her real name is Meliors Simms, and she is a true healer. As I perused her website, I discovered that each tooth has a metaphysical message. The THF says that molars and premolars have a personal message for each person, but they carry a theme.

Here’s one of her blog posts about molars and emotions.

Metaphysical meanings of molars and premolars

Did you know that your teeth and gums can be healed? They can! It’s important that you not wait too long, but the physical body can repair itself when not stressed. The Holistic Tooth Fairy (HTF for short) creates all sorts of meditations for self-healing.

Here is one I particularly liked for forgiving your teeth and flossing. I really love listening to this and using the meditation to affect my gums and teeth.

Meliors is so delightful, and she gave me permission to share the meditation with you. If you like what you hear, please check out her website. She uses a social media platform called Insight Timer, which I admit I had never heard of (oh, goodie, another social media platform!).

If you suffer from dental issues, I encourage your to sign up for her newsletter and listen to her live broadcasts,  and possibly consider some Oral Care Coaching. Like everything else, if we get too busy to care for our oral health, more than just our teeth will suffer.

Your Soul Purpose

Your Soul Purpose

What if your Soul’s Purpose in this life is to discover and realize that YOU ARE ENOUGH? And to know and realize that EVERYONE ELSE IS ENOUGH, TOO. But focus on YOU!

What if all the joy and happiness and compassion and love that you’ve ever experienced have happened FOR you, not TO you? To help you establish an emotional/mental/physical foundation of “I am enough”? Even if those experiences happened for short moments intermittently over your life, you can harvest those moments and begin to realize that they are the Truth of who you are and that truth is: YOU ARE ENOUGH!

And what if all the suffering and disappointments and traumas and shame and guilt that you’ve ever experienced have also actually happened FOR you, not TO you? To help you experience the contrast that will actually motivate you at some point, to search for your True Self?

If you’ve ever wondered, “What is the meaning of Life?” or “Why am I even here?” or “Is this all there is?” I’m here to let you know that as you begin to know and to realize that YOU ARE ENOUGH, the answers to these questions will all become clear to you.

As you know and realize that YOU ARE ENOUGH, and that EVERYONE ELSE IS ENOUGH, you will discover that:

-You don’t need to prove anything to anyone.

-You don’t need to make up for anything or anyone.

-You don’t need to fix anything or anyone, including yourself.

-You don’t need to justify anything to anyone, including yourself.

-You don’t need to feel guilty or shameful about anything or anyone, including yourself.

-You don’t need to manipulate or control anyone or any situation.

-You are not better or worse than anyone else.

-Others cannot hurt your feelings or intimidate you or bully you.

Notice all the resistance you have as you read this. Make notes of your arguments or non-beliefs.

I will be writing and teaching more about “I AM ENOUGH” in the coming weeks, months, and years. My colleague, ToiAnn Hanson, and I will be presenting a FREE webinar for you to experience this and to learn to use Tapping to bring you to your highest consciousness, which is to KNOW that YOU ARE ENOUGH.

This is going to change your life, as it has mine, and ToiAnn’s, and already many of our clients. She and I developed this protocol to help you get to your greatest self as easily and efficiently as possible.

Please use the Tapping below to begin to access this paradigm.

Begin on the top of the head, and tap around the points as indicated.

(Top of Head) What if I am enough?

(Inner eyebrow) What if I really am enough?

(Outer eye) As I begin to know this Truth, I realize that

(Under the eye) I don’t need to prove anything to anyone

(Under the nose) Because I am enough

(Chin) I don’t need to fix anything or anyone, including myself?

(Collarbone) Because I am enough

(Underarm) ( don’t need to justify anything to myself or anyone,

-(Top of the head) Because I am enough

-(Inner Eyebrow) There is no blame – not myself or anyone else

-(Outer Eye) Because I am enough

-(Under the eye) And everyone else is enough, too

-(Under the nose) I don’t need to manipulate or control

-(Chin) Because I am enough

-(Collarbone point) I don’t need to tell others about this

-(Underarm) Because I am enough

-(Top of the head) I can say yes when I mean yes

-(Inner Eyebrow) Because I am enough

-(Outer Eye) And everyone else is enough, too!

-(Under the eye) I don’t need to judge others or myself

-(Under the nose) Because I am enough

-(Chin) And everyone else is enough, too

-(Collarbone point) Yes, I am enough

-(Underarm) I really am enough

Take a gentle breath in and out.

Ponder this a bit more and add to your questions.

Difficult or More Difficult? Life is Like a Hiking Trail

Difficult or More Difficult? Life is Like a Hiking Trail

I’m often able to take a weekday or part of a weekday and go to the beach or go hiking or visit a friend or whatever. This week I went hiking with a friend. We left at 6:00 a.m. and got to the trailhead of Dog Mountain in the Columbia Rivier Gorge on the Washington side of the river, at 7:00 a.m.

Dog Mountain is a very popular trail. It’s a pretty tough 4-mile climb up the side of the mountain and gains about 3000 feet of elevation. I’m a slow-and-steady hiker and it takes me a good 2 1/2 hours to get to the top, and another 2 hours to get down via the alternate trail. I love the challenge.

No matter how many times I hike this trail, I forget how steep the first part is. I mean, really steep right from the get-go. I’m breathing hard straight away. It would be easy to say “screw this, I’m giving up.” But I never do. I just put one foot in front of the other, take a break once in a while, use all my mental tricks to override the part of me that wants to sabotage the journey.

My brain puts up the same kind of resistance in my business and my life. “What do you think you’re doing?” says my inner resistance. “You should just give up!” “Go make a cup of tea,” it will tell me. “Take a break.” “This is just too hard. ”Or the really nasty voice says “You will never get where you want to go,” or “It’s too late for you.”

After climbing about 30 minutes up Dog Mountain Trail, you come to a fork in the trail, at which there is a choice to make. Both choices lead to the top of Dog Mountain. There is a sign posted on a tree – an official trail-type marker. In previous years the sign read “Less Difficult” with an arrow up to the right, and “More Difficult” with an arrow up to the left. But recently, a new sign was posted that reads “Difficult” with the arrow up to the right, and “More Difficult” with the arrow up to the left. There is no BS “Less Difficult” about it.

What if life has been offering me those same options on a regular basis. And what if I could approach my life and my business in the same manner I approach the trail? I mean, difficult or more difficult, hiking is so freaking satisfying! At Dog Mountain, the reward for the challenge is the view from the top.

In life and in business, my rewards, when I choose to stick with them, are the satisfaction of growing – mentally, spiritually, emotionally, professionally, personally. The view as I reflect on my past life and challenges, is amazing!

WHY, you may wonder, would anyone choose to hike 4 steep miles up the side of a mountain? Hiking isn’t for everyone, I realize that. But it’s one of my favorite things. I will hike in the middle of winter, in the middle of summer, and any day in between. I will hike with a friend or hike alone. When I travel, I often like to take a hike where I’m visiting. I’ve hiked in Joshua Tree National Park, Palm Springs, the Olympic Peninsula, Sonoma County, Honolulu, Kauai, Tahiti, Mexico, France, Ireland. Even in New York, I like to walk The High Line. Not exactly hiking, but not riding in a vehicle, either.

WHY would anyone choose the “More Difficult” trail at Dog Mountain? Well, we chose the More Difficult trail. And it’s not the first time I’ve hiked that way. The most noticeable thing about the More Difficult trail is that it is way less populated. Just like life. The other thing is that it is, well, more difficult. And I like to challenge myself physically. I love the meditative state that comes from being so winded that you can’t talk. It really puts me in a flow state. I’m thinking only about the steps I’m currently taking, not about what I have to do at home, or emails or text messages, or anything else.

But either way, when I come out of the trees and onto the alpine trail, the view is stunning! Just like life.

Sure, the Colombia River is visible from down on the highway and is quite breathtaking from that angle. But from 3000 feet up, the views are really unbelievable. Across the river, and peeking out from the top of the Oregon side of the gorge, is the top of Mt. Hood. This view can’t be seen from ground level. Mt. St. Helens is also visible from the top of Dog Mountain. Sure, you can see those mountains from Portland. But not eye-to-eye like you can from Dog.

Life is like that – you can get a view from the street-level of life, but the views from higher up are worth the climb.

Do you suffer from Panic Attacks?

Do you suffer from Panic Attacks?

So many people I know suffer from occasional or chronic panic attacks. They usually describe them as ‘feeling like I’m going to die.’

Early on during the pandemic, I experienced a panic attack myself. If I had had them before, it was a long time ago – back when I was an alcoholic and drug addict. But one evening in 2020, I was practicing yoga with a virtual class, when I went into an asana that made my breathing feel restrained. I certainly had done that post before, but that evening I had recently learned about what COVID-19 sufferers often experience. I basically freaked out.

Fortunately, I was not in an in-person class. I was at home. I stood up and began to tap. “I’m having a panic attack,” I said as I tapped. “I feel like I’m going to die.” I continued to tap around the points and stated how I was feeling. But it only took about 2 rounds of tapping before the intensity went way, way down. Soon I was at a zero intensity.

I created a video for people who might suffer from panic attacks.

You can watch it here.

And then recently, I was on a client call when she began having a panic attack.  I was recording the session (as I often do) and she gave me permission to share the audio of that part of our work

She had been having lots of panic attacks over the previous few months, but had not used Tapping for those. Usually, those panic attacks were taking 15-20 minutes to settle down. But the one we recorded took about 5 minutes. And, she hasn’t had one since then.

I encourage you to develop Tapping for your own use. You can use this recording for panic attacks specifically.

A time for Forgiveness

Forgiveness is one of the most powerful and most misunderstood tools for changing the world!

Forgiveness does not mean that you ‘let the other person off the hook.’ It means you let yourself off the hook. You give yourself the gift of freedom.

Forgiveness does not mean the other person is not accountable. It means you no longer need to stay in bondage to your resentments.

For many people, forgiveness feels like an impossibility. But I promise you, it’s not impossible. In fact, it only takes a moment. I encourage you to try it, even if it’s just for a moment.

Do the easy ones first, then work your way to the ones that are more difficult.

Here are three things to remember when you are considering maybe, possibly, forgiving someone:

#1 You cannot heal hate with resentment

#2 They do not see the world as you do. Perhaps they were ‘out of their right mind’ when they said or did what they did.

#3  You can create true change in the world only when you change your thinking.

Here’s a video I created a few years ago about ‘Forgiving Your Ex?’ Maybe this will help you get started.

Try forgiving them for a minute or two. Notice how you feel. If you want to go back to your resentment, you can choose that. But I encourage you to keep trying – a few minutes at a time, until you are ready to let it go permanently.

Peace!
