Today we’re going to do some end-of-the-week clean-up Tapping. This Tapping is to help bring your body, including your nervous system, into alignment.
Sense into your body right here, right now. Notice any twinges of pain or discomfort. Notice any tension. Is there any “buzzing” in your skin or scalp? Is your jaw clenched? Is your stomach grumbling or gurgling? Sit very quietly for a moment and notice if there’s some feeling in the background of your awareness – maybe something that’s there so consistently that you don’t really notice it most of the time. It’s like background noise that you just get used to.
Sense into any sensation in your body. Pick one for this Tapping. Write down the sensation, and rate the intensity of it, 0-10. As you sense into the sensation, notice if it changes because of your awareness of it. Often, by bringing a sensation into our awareness, it shifts. Re-rate if it has changed. Now put your hand on the part of your body where this sensation is. ASK this sensation, and this part of your body, “What are you trying to tell me?” “What emotion are you?” “What instructions do you have for me?” And LISTEN to the response. Don’t judge, just listen. Write down the response.
It’s time for some peace. For a walk in the woods. It’s time to float on a warm ocean and relax.

“Be nice to me”
“Don’t worry, be happy”
“Take me out for a walk”
“I need more of something”
“Don’t work so hard”
All these messages from my body
I’ve never really listened to my body before
It’s another weird thing that I’ve never done
But it makes sense in a way
That my body is part of me
It wants to be included
It wants to be treated kindly
It wants to be honored and respected
It wants to have fun!
My body is doing the best it can
It’s always doing the best it can
My body works really hard to keep up
And it puts up with everything I throw at it
Including my thoughts and emotions
What an amazing system my body is
I’m ready to begin to honor it
I’m ready to work WITH my body
And then, talking to your body, and Tapping around the points:
-OK body, I’m listening
-I realize I’ve never listened to you before
-I just took you for granted
-And got angry when you didn’t work right
-I see now that you were communicating with me
-Giving me instructions
-First softly, then loudly
-I’m ready to listen to you now
-This is new for me
-So please bear with me as I learn
-Learn to listen to your messages
-You do so much for me
-And I have been pretty hard on you
-With my words and thoughts
-With my actions
-I’m choosing to be kind to you now.
Breathe in. And out. Love your body – just as it is, right here right now. Repeat this Tapping as often as necessary to get your body in alignment.
